The "Sandbox" is the nickname for the alt.toys.gi-joe newsgroup on Usenet.  It is an unmoderated (okay, well we do moderate it ourselves by just ignoring trolls and buttheads) forum dedicated to discussing GI Joe and his contemporary and vintage counterparts in the 12" Action Figure arena.  All are welcome to participate but you sometimes need to have a thick skin when sand gets thrown in your eyes.  It is a friendly bunch that is an excellent source for information, conversation, sales, trades, procurement of items not in your local area, and sometimes even free stuff.  So, if you think you are the type that can be a kid, while acting in an adult manner, come on by the sandbox and pull up some real estate.
